Luke Hajdasz of WFSB Channel 3 News came out to Thompson to interview us about the ongoing salt shortage and the struggles that contractors were facing across the region. During the interview, we shared insight into how supply challenges impact winter operations and what it means for businesses trying to keep properties safe. Grass Monkey Landscaping has proudly participated in the Thompson Recreation Department’s annual Touch-A-Truck event for the past three years. This family-friendly event gives children and community members the opportunity to see, explore, and learn about the equipment used by local businesses and public service organizations. Each year we bring a variety of our equipment and trucks for kids to climb on and explore, along with cold drinks, candy, and information about our business. It’s always a great opportunity to meet families in the community, answer questions, and give people a hands-on look at the equipment we use to help maintain properties throughout the area.

Grass Monkey Landscaping has also proudly participated in the Putnam Dazzle Light Parade for several years. This annual holiday parade brings local businesses and community members together to celebrate the season by decorating trucks, equipment, and floats with festive lights and driving them through downtown Putnam for families and spectators to enjoy.

Each year we light up our trucks and equipment and join the parade route to help spread some holiday cheer. It’s a fun tradition that brings the community together during the Christmas season, and we’re proud to be part of an event that helps create lasting memories for families throughout the area.

Grass Monkey Landscaping has proudly supported the Woodstock Academy Baseball program for the past several years as a team sponsor. Supporting local athletics is important to us, and we are proud to help provide opportunities for student-athletes in our community. Programs like Woodstock Academy Baseball play an important role in teaching teamwork, dedication, and leadership, and we are honored to contribute to their continued success.

Grass Monkey Landscaping participated in a Trunk-or-Treat event held in Thompson, where local businesses and organizations brought decorated vehicles to hand out candy to families and children in the community. We brought one of our trucks along with a piece of equipment and handed out plenty of candy while giving kids the chance to see and explore one of the machines we use every day. It was a great opportunity to connect with families and be part of a fun community event.

Nearly every fall, Grass Monkey Landscaping donates time and equipment to help clean up the Thompson Town Common alongside several other local landscaping companies. This annual effort helps prepare the common for the winter by improving the appearance of the grounds, cleaning up leaves, sticks, and other debris and maintaining one of the town’s most well-known public spaces. We’re always proud to work together with other local contractors to help keep Thompson looking its best.
